FLGeoWeek 2001
Florida Rivers
Florida Rivers are vital waterways that shape the state's unique landscapes, ecosystems, and communities. This theme explores the diverse river systems across Florida, their ecological significance, and the challenges they face. From the St. Johns River to the Suwannee River, students will gain an understanding of the importance of these rivers and how they support the (human and wildlife) communities surrounding them.
For Florida Geo Awareness Week, we offer resources to support this theme in the classroom. These resources aim to inspire a deeper appreciation and understanding of Florida's rivers, empowering students and teachers to play an active role in the conservation and sustainable use of these precious waterways.
